Yeah, that animation is really something. :D Judging from the video linked above, it seems to be at its most hilarious whenever the animators have not only to clumsily copy preexisting characters and character/set designs but to create whole new ones.

I really hope the scanlators doing this series keep going with it. I like where this story is going. (Admittedly, the last panel of the last page of this chapter is a bit, uh. And I get the impression it’s only gonna get gorier, which depending on how it’s done I won’t necessarily mind at all. But still.)

it has most of the original actors (except chekov) so uhhh they didnt have a budget for actual animation after that I think. Ive only seen one episode and it was pretty stupid! very 70s kids adventure cartoon.

The original actors voiced the characters? Wow. I…may have to at least try one episode of that.

This looks like it’s going to be a pretty cool story. (So far it seems to be about robots, philosophy of mind, and lesbians.) I hope it doesn’t take too long for the whole thing to be translated; I’m terrible at hanging on to stories in progress, released chapter at a time—I’m already waiting to see what happens next in Citrus. (So far that one seems to be about ridiculous melodrama, quasi-incest, hate sex, and people slamming each other into walls before kissing them. I love it.)

I DEFINITELY CONSIDERED THAT. :D I think he’s going to be named Calvin, though, since on top of being good at getting out of things, he’s also a bit of a brat and likes chewing on hands and nice pieces of furniture. (On an unrelated note, he likes to…basically tie himself in knots. He clings to the perch or the side of the cage with both feet and then puts his head under one leg and kinda somersaults over his own legs. I’m not even 100 percent clear on how it works, but he manages to do it.)

I’m starting to see how this bird managed to escape his former situation, whatever it was. Because he just squeezed himself through the bars of his cage. They’re half-inch spaced bars, but unlike a finch, this little guy has a strong beak and grasping feet and he used them to pry the bars farther apart.

Time to get a more robust cage, I guess. Also, I think he’s already bored. I’ve released him inside in a few rooms where I was pretty sure he couldn’t hurt himself on anything, but every time he made it to a high up out of reach surface covered in dust and god knows what else, he started making nibbling motions at whatever he found there. Probably eating some dusty old dead spiders wouldn’t actually hurt him, but still. Maybe if I vacuum and then let him fly around.

The little budgie/blue parakeet I found outside in the road day before yesterday, sleeping in the fleece-lined bird tunnel I got for him yesterday.

According to the vet, he’s thin and could stand to gain about an extra bird’s worth of weight (that would be why he was just lying in the road when found), but he’s already looking much happier.

Youre doing a comic? 8D Yeah I draw costumes incredibly inconsistently ahahaaaa And sometimes forget beards, but that I do go back and correct.

Oh, man. Costumes would be difficult. When I do one-off illustrations, ‘costumes’ are usually ‘whatever folds and wrinkles and patterns I need to hide the parts of this person’s anatomy that I haven’t made sense of’. The costumes I’ve put on the two characters here are as simple as I can make ‘em and I still keep losing track of the pocket on one person’s coat.

And yeah, I’m just doing a short thing for this (short like 11 pages). Hopefully it will improve my sequential art abilities. Or rather, create some where there aren’t any yet. :D

Well, that’s the great thing about drawing a character with glasses, isn’t it. Having to redraw their face in every other frame because you keep forgetting the glasses and then having to stick them in without obscuring everything.

Ive had a palmetto bug living in my walls for like a month. I hear it rustling sometimes, but it wont come out. Im fine as long as it stays out of sight and doesnt eat the cat food.

I think I’m gonna wind up just living with this one, too. At least, I am as long as my vacuum cleaner keeps working as poorly as it does (srsly I had the nozzle of the vacuum on top of the damn roach and it still didn’t suck it up).
